I don’t know about you, but the older I get, the more I have dry, cracked feet, particularly my heels. I can DISTINCTLY remember, when I was in my very early twenties, seeing an ‘older’ womans’ heels (she was only in her 40s), and noticing how terribly cracked they were. My heels were the opposite: smooth and supple. Seriously. Supple is the best word to describe my heels at that age. And I remember thinking – “No. Never me. I will never-ever-no-not-ever let me feet get so bad that they are permanently cracked and dry like that. My heels will always remain supple.” Why I can remember thinking this, I’ll never know. It’s not only obtusely random, but some days, I can barely remember to put the milk in the fridge, not the cupboard!
Last night, I was examining my feet. And I realized – my heels are the heels of ‘an old woman’ (old woman as defined by an early twenties woman). They’ve become cracked. Dry. Anti-supple. I am aghast. I have let my naive twenty self down! And so, I’ve decided that I will bring back the supple. And I have access to the secret weapon that will eliminate my need to worry about my dry, cracked feet.
I’ve been highlighting lots of hidden gems offered by Norwex on the blog lately, in a series titled, “Did You Know Norwex Sells….” so you don’t miss out on any of the many items Norwex offers. Did you know that Norwex sells a Foot Stone? This product is small, and doesn’t always get noticed, but it leaves a big impact on your feet! I have sadly neglected this little gem on the blog, as it has only once been briefly mentioned by me. *gasp* I love that Norwex has expanded so much into offering great personal care products to help people radically reduce the amount of chemicals in their homes. You may know some of the more well known personal care products, like the Naturally Timeless Skin Care Line, the Body Lotion, Shower Gel or Hand Soap.
The Norwex Foot Stone is 100% pure pumice – nature’s remedy for dry, rough skin! You can use this to safely and gently remove corns and smooth away calluses and rough skin. And this stone has a best friend. While they are sold separately, they are better together! Like Han Solo and Chewie, the Foot Stone and Timeless Organic Shea Butter can conquer the unknown crevices on your feet!
Here’s How To Use Them
- Rub the Foot Stone, either dry or wet, over the areas of your feet that need attention.
- Rinse and dry them.
- Apply a small amount of the Timeless Organic Shea Butter all over your feet.
- To amp up the moisturizing benefits, do this just before going to bed, and wear cotton socks to hold the moisture in (*Note: you won’t be able to stop touching your feet the next day, the first time you do it!).
- Follow this routine regularly for the most effective long term results. (ie. on the nights you don’t fall asleep in your clothes)
Wanna know something cool about our Shea Butter? It is an Ecocert-certified organic cosmetic! The Mediterranean Meditation Olive Oil Salt Scrub is another Norwex product that has been Ecocert-certified. WE ARE LEGIT!!!! Sorry. I love all excuses to use that word, for some reason.
Here’s a fun fact about your foot stone: You can break off a piece of easily, and use that piece to clean heavy build-up on the inside of your toilet bowl? It’s true! It will help rub away the built up ring in your bowl, without scratching the bowl!
So, get supple and smooth with the Foot Stone and Shea Butter, and show off those those feet that look like they’re in their twenties again!
