What is healthy home cleaning?

Healthy home cleaning is about keeping your home clean and well cared for while being thoughtful about the products, tools, and habits you use every day.

For me, that means cleaning effectively, reducing unnecessary chemical exposure where it makes sense, simplifying routines, and making informed choices that support the people who live in your home. It isn't about having a perfect house or replacing everything you own. It's about making practical improvements, one decision at a time.

Do I need to get rid of all the cleaning products I already use?

No. Creating a healthier home doesn't have to happen all at once.

I encourage people to start with the products and routines they use most often, learn what matters, and make changes as they make sense for their family, budget, and season of life. Progress is much more sustainable than trying to make your entire home "perfect" overnight.

Why does Healthy Home Cleaning recommend Norwex?

I've used and taught people how to use Norwex products for years because many of them fit naturally with the way I believe we should care for our homes – clean effectively, simplify what we use, and reduce our reliance on unnecessary cleaning chemicals where practical.

But Healthy Home Cleaning isn't here to tell you that every Norwex product is necessary or right for everyone. My job is to help you understand how the products work, where I think they provide real value, and where another solution may make more sense.

How can Norwex microfiber help me clean with fewer cleaning products?

One of the reasons I use Norwex microfiber throughout my home is that many everyday cleaning jobs can be done with a microfiber cloth and water instead of automatically reaching for a separate cleaning product.

That can simplify your cleaning routine and reduce the number of cleaning chemicals you routinely bring into your home. Different surfaces and cleaning situations have different needs, though, so throughout this site I explain when microfiber and water make sense – and when you need something more.

Do I need Norwex products to create a healthier home?

No. A healthier home is much bigger than any one brand or collection of products.

The way you clean, the products you choose, the habits you build, and the decisions you make about your indoor environment all matter. Norwex is one of the tools I personally use and recommend, but the goal of Healthy Home Cleaning is to help you understand your options and make thoughtful decisions for your own home.
