The new Norwex Microfiber Deep Cleaner formula is made to deep clean your cloths with an enzymes and probiotic blend. It is EWG verified too!
POV: You’ve skipped the chemicals and cleaned your whole house with just water and your Norwex microfiber cloths for a few months. All that dirt and grime has been removed from your home, but it seems like your cloths are getting dingy and losing their softness. Do you need something harsh to clean out these cloths? After all, they have done a TON of cleaning.
NO!
Norwex microfiber is a unique fabric and DOES need a spa day every few months. Norwex microfiber will not work them same if they are bleached, which tends to be the go-to method when laundry is particularly dirty. Over Norwex’s lifetime, the guidance on cleaning microfiber has shifted as more effective products have become available. If you’re still boiling cloths or are using Microfiber Cleaner Laundry Booster, don’t worry! These have all been used before as effective treatment, but the newest product to use is Microfiber Deep Cleaner.
What’s to Love about the new Microfiber Deep Cleaner
- Made from an enzyme and probiotic blend– Instead of using harsh chemicals, Norwex harnesses the power of enzymes and probiotics to penetrate into the superfine, but also incredibly dense microfiber fabric. Subtilisin, Lipase, Amylase, Cellulase, are the names of the enzymes at work within the Microfiber Deep Cleaner. You might recognize them from Norwex’s other laundry products like Powerzyme and Laundy Stain Remover. Check out the chart below to see how Norwex targets their enzyme cleaners to address specific issues. Microfiber Deep Cleaner also uses a probiotic blend called Bacillus Spore. They work together to break down and remove stains, restoring formerly dingy microfiber and other laundry to bright, clean and odor- free.
- Liquid formula– The most obvious change from Norwex’s previous Microfiber Cleaner Laundry Booster is that it is a liquid instead of a powder. The liquid format allows for higher concentration of degreasing ingredients, addressing stains from grease and oil, dirt, coffee, spaghetti sauce, grape juice, chocolate, grass, blood, makeup and more! While it breaks down and pulls this material out of the fabric, the formula also prevents dirt from redepositing onto fabrics by holding particles in suspension. It is exactly the type of spa day your microfiber needs every so often!
- EWG verified– The EWG, Environmental Working Group, is an independent group that ensures that brands formulate products using ingredients that have been tested for safety, are free of chemicals of concern, and manufactured with strict transparency. An EWG Verified: For Your Health® mark on a product means that the product goes above and beyond its green rating in EWG’s Skin Deep® because the company has disclosed more about its formulations and manufacturing processes. Microfiber Deep Cleaner is not only effective, but gentle in how it addresses the issues.

What’s Important to Know About Norwex Microfiber Deep Cleaner
- No chemicals- Norwex doesn’t use chemicals, but let me breakdown what that includes. There is no SLS/SLES, EDTA, gluten, fillers, phthalates, chlorine bleach, optical brighteners, synthetic dyes and fragrances, parabens, phosphates, formaldehyde donors, ammonia, and nitrates.
- Works with your water- The calcium, magnesium and other minerals in “hard” water can keep your detergent from working well so this formula contains water-softening elements to give an effective clean. It is safe for septic systems. It will even remove mineral deposits, sediment and other residual matter from the cloths.
- Ultra-concentrated- a little goes a long way! Each bottle contains 17.5 doses of cleaning solution!

How does it compare with Microfiber Cleaner Laundry Booster
Yes, Norwex has retired Microfiber Cleaner Laundry Booster. I love that Norwex has a heart to innovate and focus on the most effective products. The chart below shows how the two compare with one another. They have a lot of similarities, including the price! I think you’ll find that the Microfiber Deep Cleaner is an upgrade all around, especially since there are 4 enzymes working now instead of of just 2!

How to Use Norwex Microfiber Deep Cleaner
Like I said before- a little goes a long way with Microfiber Deep Cleaner! Each bottle contains 17.5 doses of cleaning action. If you deep cleaned cloths once a month, that would be over a year of cleaner! Here’s how to use:
- As a deep cleaner: Add 4 teaspoons/20 ml to 1 gallon/3.8 liters of hot (not scalding) water in a bucket or sink. Submerge cloths and agitate. Allow to soak for 30 – 60 minutes then drain and refill with clean water, agitating again. Repeat until water runs clear. Launder microfiber as normal. Hot water works best for degreasing- think about how bacon grease moves when it is hot compared to when it cools off in the pan.
- As a laundry booster: Add 4 teaspoons/20 ml to the presoak cycle, soak 30 – 60 minutes; launder as normal
- Tip: Adding the detergent of choice in combination with the Microfiber Deep Cleaner will also expedite the removal of long-term, set-in dirt, soils, oils and stains
- Not for use on delicate fabrics like silk or wool. Please follow garment-cleaning instructions for all fabrics.
- See the chart below to use each Norwex laundry product strategically!
