So far in our spring cleaning series we’ve conquered the kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, office, closets, and living/family rooms with a handful of Norwex products, lots of determination, and a little elbow grease to boot. This means it’s time to head outside… to the garage!
For a lot of us, the garage is like a giant outdoor closet. It’s so easy to pile it up with seasonal items and things you want to sell or get rid of in a yard sale. Sooner or later, however, you’re going to have to dig through the piles, get rid of everything you don’t need, and clean the space from top to bottom.
Here is a list of tasks to help you clean the garage with Norwex.
Spring Cleaning Tips – Garage
* Item organization: Sell/donate anything you have not used in the last year. Have a yard sale the weekend after your garage is cleaned. Donate everything you don’t sell. For items you plan to keep, label stackable bins accordingly and keep them in an easily accessible corner. Add a few sticky hooks to the wall for yard supplies.
* Freezer: Remove all the contents and recycle/compost anything that is expired or will not be used. Wipe down the inside with a wet Enviro Cloth.
* Doors: Wipe the inside and outside of each door, including the main garage door, with a wet Enviro Cloth. Use a dry Window Cloth on any glass panes.
* Window sills: Wipe down with a wet Enviro Cloth.
* Floors: Sweep the garage floor clean with a dry Superior Mop Pad. Wash it with a blue Wet Mop Pad. For stubborn spots from oil or car tires, use a dab of Cleaning Paste and a Spirisponge.
Cobwebs: Use a dry Dusting Mitt to quickly zap cobwebs from the corners.
Total items used: Enviro Cloth, Window Cloth, Dusting Mitt, Cleaning Paste, Spirisponge, Norwex Mop.
Once you get rid of junk that’s piled up in the garage, it’s actually pretty easy to keep it clean and organized. Do you have any tips for spring cleaning the garage? Share in the comments!
