The Norwex Beach Towel is perfect to bring along to the pool or beach! It is lightweight, compact, fast drying, and absorbent!
If you have kids, you know how much life changes, even when it comes to fun things- like going to the beach. All of sudden you are the equipment manager for a crew of little people that can’t swim, are easily cold, and often hungry. A beach towel is super important when you need to warm up some cold, tired swimmers!
But not every beach towel is created equally. Most beach towels are so big, bulky, and heavy that it takes a giant sized bag to haul them and a wagon to drag the whole load over. Once it is time to leave the beach, these towels tend to hold sand- sometimes I feel like I haul back a whole bucket worth of sand! All this sand means that once the beach fun is done, you’re left vacuuming the car and shaking out towels so they don’t clog your washing machine. It can really take the fun out of this summer activity!
Norwex’s Beach Towel gives a totally different experience. Let me explain why!

What I Love about the Norwex Beach Towel
- Lightweight & compact– Like I said before, most beach towels are so big, bulky, and heavy. Norwex’s Beach Towel is the exception. It is so compact that it can fold up to fit into a wristlet size carrying case! It is so lightweight that even if you brought a “stack,” it would be at least half, maybe even a third of the size than the standard. Being compact gives me the flexibility to pack other things or just save my arm when going to the beach.
- Absorbent- Even though this towel feels thin, it is cozy and absorbent! It is made from super-soft suede-like microfiber that doesn’t take any effort to soak in water.
- Cuts back on cleaning– Cleaning up after the beach doesn’t turn into an ordeal! Of course, this doesn’t mean no sand, but WAY LESS sand is a huge win, especially if you are a frequent beach go-er! Just give your towel a shake and most of the sand will slide off. Doing a quick search on washing machines and beach sands is pretty convincing too!
What’s to Love about Norwex Beach Towels
- Fast-drying– One of the appeals of a standard beach towel is that they are so big that, even when they get wet, there is usually a dry spot somewhere on it. Once that area runs out though, that towel takes time to dry. Norwex’s Beach Towel is cozy, but thin, so it dries out fast.
- Stays fresh longer– Since the Beach Towel is made from Norwex’s signature microfiber it includes BacLock- an antimicrobial agent solely intended to protect and self-clean the cloth by inhibiting growth of odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew. This means that once you are done with the towel, it will stay fresh for you to reuse. For vacationing, that is a huge perk!
- Great for traveling– Since the Beach Towels are compact, it’s not a big deal to bring them on your vacation, camping, camper, or cabin. They won’t take up much space in your suitcase or limited cupboard space!
- Comes in sizes for kids and adults– Norwex has a Beach Towel for everyone! Kids and grownups can have their own size. The kids one even come with a cute turtle shaped bag to carry it.

What’s Important to Know
- Pat to dry– If you’ve used a “shammy” before, you might feel the resemblance. Using a patting motion is recommended. Then it won’t feel like its sticking to you.
- Very thin– This velvety towel feels thin. Before using it, you might get worried that it won’t be enough, but I haven’t found that to be the case. I think you’ll learn to love that, especially when traveling and shuffling back to the car.
- Can be found in limited edition patterns– this is one of those products that Norwex will release in flash sales in limited edition patterns so be on the lookout for even more fun ones to add to your stash!

How to Launder your Norwex Beach Towels
- It’s not totally necessary, but I personally recommend using a Norwex laundry detergent to launder your towel. Check out this post to see all the options!
- Avoid using fabric softener, bleach and dryer sheets when laundering your Norwex Beach Towels
- Wash with other Norwex towels, Norwex cloths, or sheets. Avoid throwing in the laundry with fluffy towels or blankets. The lint from those items will transfer and get stuck all over the hooked fibers of your towel.
- Wash in hot water. This is not a must, but it is very helpful, as the heat helps to open up the fibers of your towel, releasing any dirt it’s holding and fluffing the towel up again.
This product is 5 STARS *****
Maybe the price of this towel would seem steep to some, but I find it it totally worth it! I love using this towel, and not just for the beach. It is great to pack along to the gym to use as your locker room towel too.
Let me know what you think of your Norwex Beach Towel!
