How to Clean a Ceramic Stove • Norwex Spirisponge Review

Ah, the ceramic stovetop. Heats up quickly. Attractive. Shiny surface. Easy to cle… No. Wait. NOT easy to clean! It’s too easily scratched! It needs constant cleaning! It’s too much maintenance!!!

While the Spirisponge is known for its gentle touch, it is also slightly abrasive. But its tough love doesn’t feel tough, because it won’t scratch your stovetop!

Now, the Spirisponge does need a little sidekick. I find that it cannot work alone when cleaning a stovetop. Did you know that all hero’s do not work alone? They all need sidekicks to help them accomplish their goals! Harry Potter would never have defeated He Who Should Not Be Named without Ron and Hermione. Katniss and Peta would never have won the Hunger Games without each other. Anne would have been so lonely without Diana!

Enter: The Norwex Cleaning Paste. This paste acts just like your Cerama Bryte liquid stove cleaner. Only in powder form. And with no weird chemicals that warrant using gloves and locking it away! AND, you can use it for other things. Like, a billion things, actually (see some examples here). ***Please note that I love that you get your money’s worth out of this product!!!***

How To Use It

Scrape a little of the cleaning paste onto your stovetop.
Wet your Spirisponge. Squeeze it well.
Then scrub. Sometimes, you need to add a little more paste (not much).
Then you use a cloth (rag, papertowel, EnviroCloth, your choice) to wipe it away. I always use a damp EnviroCloth, then follow up with my Window Cloth to make it shine.

This whole process is quite quick, even for very burned on bits. I’m convinced that before I used these two products, it took three times as long to get my stovetop clean (which meant I put off cleaning it longer).
