This is a blog post for all of you hand washers out there. You, who stand hour after hour at the kitchen sink, with suds all the way up to your elbows. Those of you that don’t have a dishwasher – YOU deserve a blog post all of your own, because you are truly in the trenches of the kitchen! I also want to help make your job less tiresome and time consuming. Here are the tools that Norwex has that are going to make your dishwashing dramas dissipate!
Tools You’ll Love for Hand Washing Dishes
The Norwex Dish Cloth
This dish cloth the BEST way to scrub/rub/wipe those dishes down. This dish cloth is weird to you, I know, because it’s a giant net. But it’s unlike any dishcloth you’ve ever used, and I cross my heart – you’re gonna love it! This is my favourite dish cloth of all time. Not only is it effective at rubbing away all sticky, stuck on stuff/grease/grime, but it never ever smells bad. Say goodbye forever to your stinky dish cloth when you switch to the Norwex Dish Cloth! And don’t worry, Norwex has a Kitchen Cloth to help you wipe down the rest of the kitchen!
Bottle Brush
Maybe you’re the type that loves to clean with a brush. Or maybe you just need a brush for those hard to reach places (it’s for more than just bottles!) Here’s where the Norwex Bottle Brush can magically make your problems disappear. You can purchase the Brush, and it comes with the Bottle extension, which is great for vases, travel mugs, mason jars, tall glasses, and more. It also comes with an EnviroSleeve, for when you need a softer touch on delicate items, or when you need soft material to help get into the corners or scrub up extra smooth surfaces. I love that this brush has no metal parts that will rust. My biggest cheer goes out though for the type of bristles. These silicone bristles don’t get food, gunk and goo stuck in them. They rinse off so easily!
Sponges
Don’t worry, sponge-lovers, the Spirisponge is your friend at the sink! This sponge is covered in a material that is slightly abrasive, but won’t scratch, so it’s safe on surfaces like teflon! It’s handy for when you need just a little extra elbow grease. You can just throw it in the dishwasher to clean it!
Mighty Mesh Pot Scrubber
For your real-caked on, extra dirty pots and pans, I love to reach for this pot scrubber. It’s got an easy-grip handle, and packs an abrasive punch. You want to use caution with this one, as it can scratch some surfaces, but it’s truly great on your pots that have burnt on food!
Kitchen Towel
If you’re washing all your dishes by hand, that means that you’re drying all (or most) of your dishes by hand! Use the Kitchen Towel to polish your dishes dry. The beauty of this towel is that it’s super absorbent. Which means that you can dry more dishes with this than the average towel (which usually gets super wet, and you have to grab another one). This towel also dries super fast, since it’s made with Norwex microfiber. So the next time you need to reach for it, it’s not sopping wet!!!
Dish Mat
If you’ve had enough hand drying for one day, and just want to leave some dishes to air dry, you can use the Norwex Dish Mat to leave the wet dishes on, and keep your counters free of wet puddles. This is super absorbent (It absorbs 1.5 times its weight in water!). It also dries super fast after you’ve hung it to dry.
Dishwashing Liquid
This is a great option for those of you that want a natural option that is biodegradable. This is a gentle formula that is scented with essential oil of Clementine, so it’s got a crisp citrus aroma. It’s free from phosphates, phtalates, SLS, SLES and dyes!
So there you have it – all the tools you need to make your dishwashing experience a little less painful.
Of course, don’t forget some unforgettable tunes to shake your hips to while you scrub! My top recommendation is Whitney Houston’s “Wanna Dance With Somebody.” You can never go wrong with that song! And if you love a good Podcast to listen to while you wash, check out Emily P. Freeman’s podcast, “The Next Right Thing.”
