The Norwex Stain Remover is a bit of a hidden gem in the Norwex line of products. It doesn’t get talked about much, but carries a lot of bang! It’s one of my personally most used products (because laundry never stops!). I almost forget about how much I love it because it’s that “steady-never-fails-me” kind of product that has blended into my everyday life. But I would be doing YOU a disservice if I didn’t share my experiences so that you, too, can experience it and get rid of those annoying stains on your laundry!
Why I Love the Norwex Stain Remover
It {almost} always works
There have been very few times that this bottle has disappointed me. It’s exceptionally fast-acting and effective against most food, soil, protein, grease, and sugar stains. That means it’s going to be effective at tackling stains such as: coffee, tea. juice, grass, makeup, lipstick, wine, eggs, fruit, and mustard. It will eliminate blood, greasy butter, ice cream, yogurt, and mayonnaise. It’s also effective at banishing the ring around the collar and underarm stains of T-shirts.
I will say that I personally haven’t found it to work well on mascara stains. I MAY be a little lazy when it comes to washing my eye makeup off at the end of the night, and my pillowcases suffer from some mascara stains. I’ve heard from some other consultants that they find for really tough stains, it’s best to rub the Stain Remover into the stain with a brush before laundering, so it really penetrates the fabric (I’ve neglected to do that).
It’s the BOMB at removing grease stains
I’m a sloppy eater and a sloppy cook. I am constantly finding grease stains on the front of my shirts {sigh}. Thankfully, a dab of the Stain Remover gets it out (usually with just one wash). It has NEVER failed me at removing grease stains, and I’m so grateful!
It lasts forever
You don’t need very much of this to pack a punch. It’s a concentrated gel, and it just seems to go on-and-on for me. I rarely have to replace my bottle.
The ingredients are 5 stars
Did you know that conventional cleaners contain bleach, ammonia, hydrochloric acid, and other toxic and corrosive chemicals? These tend to not break down on their own, instead lingering in your home and environment long after they’ve been used. Growing evidence suggests that the high amounts of these chemicals are having a serious impact on our health as well as our air and water quality.
The Norwex Stain remover works without chlorine bleach or other harsh chemicals. It’s a biodegradable formula that is free of dyes, phosphates, synthetic fragrance, optical brighteners, and SLS.
Don’t take just my word for it. Here’s feedback from others!
“This is blood – I was really lazy about it, I didn’t rinse the blood out, I let it dry caked on because my intention was to just throw it away. However, after a couple of days, I decided I had nothing to lose and put some Norwex stain remover on it. I let it sit for 20 minutes, then did a second application and let it sit for 2 days because I forgot about it. You could still see the blood on it when I put it in, but I didn’t bother applying another coat of stain remover. I threw it in the wash with a regular load of laundry this morning…and it came out of the wash without a trace of blood on it.” -Mandy
“Wanted to share what happened this past weekend! I wish that I could blame someone else for the red wine stain on my outdoor blanket…..RED wine you guys!! I almost had a heart attack!! Just look what our Norwex Stain remover did….took the stain RIGHT out!!! – Michelle McPhie
“So I did this today! Couldn’t believe my blue dye stain that sat on my sweater (for months) came out so well with our stain remover that I couldn’t find a trace of it! I took a scrub brush to it and let it sit before laundering it with…” – Melinda Hall
“Love the stain remover. This black mark (ink) has been my daughter’s duvet cover for months. The cover has been washed and dried many many times. I really didn’t think it would come out so I never tried to get it out. But this morning I said, why not! (Applied) Stain Remover and rubbed with the Rubber Brush. ALL GONE!!! – Nicole Chevarie
Tips for Optimal Results
- You’ll get the best results when you treat stains when they’re new. Apply this concentrated formula directly onto the stain, covering it completely.
- Let sit five minutes before washing.
- For tough stains, reapply. Avoid drying the item until the stain is removed (heat will set it in!).
- Some find it helpful to apply the stain remover, then rub in with a brush. Most of the time, I just rub the fabric against itself to rub it into the fabric.
Now of course, you want to also have other awesome products to go with your Stain Remover. You’ll want to nab the Norwex Ultra Power Plus Detergent for general laundering and a 3-Pack of the Wool Fluff and Tumble Dryer Balls to reduce drying time in your dryer (and toss the dryer sheets completely). These make for the ultimate laundry experience.
The Norwex Stain Remover Review – How Many Stars?
Since this stain remover has made me consistently happy with stain-fighting results + has great ingredients, my Stain Remover Review is 5 out of 5 stars. It’s definitely one of my favorite Norwex products that I think you’ll fall in love with too.
Happy Cleaning!

Do you have a sprayer version of this product as opposed to the squeeze stream bottle version?
Suzanne Holt says
No; we just have the one version. You could probably mix it with some water and put it in a spray bottle.
