It’s time to buckle down on hand washing! As school and new activities start up, so do new strains of illnesses with many new occasions to contract them. The CDC compares handwashing to a “do-it-yourself’ vaccine” (CDC.gov). It is that effective for preventing the spread of illness! When do you usually wash your hands? Kind of a personal question, but check out the CDC’s recommendation for what occasions call for handwashing:
- Before, during, and after preparing food
- Before eating food
- Before and after caring for someone who is sick
- Before and after treating a cut or wound
- After using the toilet
- After changing diapers or cleaning up a child who has used the toilet
- After blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing
- After touching an animal, animal feed, or animal waste
- After handling pet food or pet treats
- After touching garbage (CDC.gov)
We know this for the most part, but it is a good reminder! If you need a little upgrade to keep a firm routine, check out the new Norwex Chenille Hand Towel! Watch the video below to get all the info!

Not only is this towel fun to use, but it contains the Norwex BacLock™ agent so it self-purifies between uses. Normal towels can harbor bacteria so it is important to change them often. With Norwex towels, the BacLock™ inhibits the growth of bacteria, mold, and mildew so you don’t have to change them as often, just smell test them. Remember to keep up the good habits with handwashing! As Benjamin Franklin said, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!”
Thanks for stopping by!

I love lots of the Norwex products, but not this one. It actually takes longer to get my hands completely dry than using a normal towel, its small size means I have to keep adjusting my hands to get coverage.
