This microfiber bath mat is fantastic. I (surprisingly) love it. Here’s why:
What I love about this Norwex Bath Mat
Color Choice
This mat is available in Graphite, Latte and Teal – so it’s easy to fit with the decor of your bathroom. My favorite colors are grey and teal, so my kids are pretty sure that Norwex planned the colors around my favorites!
Super Absorbent
It’s a thirsty mat, and can absorb up to 10 times its weight!
Just look at these fibers!:
Some dog owners like to use this for drying their dog after their bath, since it’s so absorbent! Others who own a pool will keep this by their door to absorb all of those extra drips and keep the water out of the house, or keep it in the bathroom that guests change in. Me, I’ve got kids. They manage to get water ALL OVER THE FLOOR!!! I use my mat to dry the floor!!!
Dries Quickly
I had these other mats in my bathroom.
They were super fluffy (for like, one day after laundering, then they’d be matted and flat!). These were THICK. They absorbed a lot of water. But were IMPOSSIBLE to get dry! I’d hang them on the side of the tub, and they’d literally still be heavy-wet a few days later. I’d throw them in the dryer and they’d STILL be wet. Washing them, then drying them, was a bit of a nightmare, as they were really wet after being in the machine and needed two or more hours in the dryer. I suffered from extreme ‘I’m a terrible environmentalist” guilt every time I put them in the dryer! Thankfully, my Norwex Microfibre Bath mat solved that problem!
I used to have two of the offending bath mats in the bathroom, and quickly replaced the second one with another Norwex Bath Mat! Guilt = Gone!
Doesn’t Slip
I know – so surprising! This mat doesn’t have a special rubbery non-stick bottom on it, which surprised me, as this mat is small and soft, which made me assume that it would slip all over the place once stepped on. But this isn’t a slipping hazard, in my experience! Now, it does move around and get a little bunched up. But my main concern is falling, and this hasn’t caused any problems! And actually, the fact that there isn’t a rubber bottom means you don’t have to worry about the rubber bottom slowly cracking and falling apart (which happens on all of them) and making a mess.
Easy to Wash
Wash and dry in the washing machine and dryer. Avoid:fabric softener, bleach and dryer sheets, like all of our microfiber products. This is so easy to wash and dry, compared to my other mats! Another customer said that since these are small and thin, she is prone to launder these mats much more frequently than ones she’s had in the past.
What I don’t “love” / what I would change about this Norwex Bath Mat
Price
Yeah. It’s kind of pricey, for a bath mat. However, I think it’s worth the price, just like a lot of Norwex products. It’s made me so much happier than my other bath mats. I mean, I did end up spending money on another one! Plus, you’re getting our microfibre two-year warranty with it as well, so you can’t go wrong!
Size
I think it’d be better if it was bigger. Even though, technically, it does what it should at the size it’s at. I’m just used to a bigger mat in the bathroom! And maybe, if it was bigger, It would take too long to dry? I’m obviously grasping at straws to find things I don’t love!!! I honestly have at least six of these in our home…maybe more. 🙂
This Norwex Bath Mat is a 5 Star product you won’t regret purchasing!
Save
I washedmy Norwex bath mat in the washer. It absorbs so much water and becomes so heavy it literally broke my washers spin mechanism. I had to get a new washer. So now I’m afraid to use my washer to clean it. What is an alternative way to clean it well?
The Norwex bath mat? We wash ours weekly with a whole other load of clothes and we’ve never had a problem.
How do you get the bath mats clean? I wash mine just as you said, but it is never even visually clean of debri from the floor.
Microfiber is very ‘grabby,’ so sometimes, threads and small bits of things do get stuck in it. Sometimes, you have to pick them out with your fingers to effectively get out the large debris from your floor (unfortunately). A comb might help do the trick, or a cheap razor, too!
