You’ve purchased (or are thinking of purchasing) the Norwex Mop System. You’ve read my Mop Review post, telling about how amazing it is and you came across the blurb about the Tile Mop Pad (or maybe someone told you about it) and now your wondering:
Should I buy the Tile Mop Pad? Do I really need it? Is it worth the investment?
Let me tell you what I think about it. I value honesty and frugality, so I promise I won’t lead you astray.
When I first became a Norwex Consultant, the Tile Mop Pad didn’t exist, so for 4 years I used the classic wet mop pad, exclusively, for washing all my hard floor surfaces, both hardwood and kitchen/bathroom tile. While it did a fantastic job on anything smooth, it struggled on the textured tile floors and I often found myself carrying an EnviroCloth and Spirisponge around with me while I mopped my tile, hand washing sections that needed a little extra elbow grease.
I wasn’t the only one who felt that the wet mop pad just wasn’t cutting it for tile; customer feedback overwhelmingly said “we need something more scrubby for tile floors!” – thankfully Norwex listened and the Tile Mop Pad was born!
Bathroom & Kitchen Floor Routine with the Norwex Tile Mop
- Vacuum. This isn’t essential but I like to use it. It will clean up all your large debris, like hair, toenails, and TP scraps.
- Dry Mop with your Norwex Dry Mop Head. This will collect all the remaining hair, dust, and light debris pieces.
- Wet Mop with your Tile Mop. It’s like you are using the scratchy side of a sponge on the whole bathroom floor. Whatever gunk is left after vacuuming and dry mopping will come up. All the hairspray, grime, scum, and urine at the toilet base-gone! The best part is that it pulls this grime up into the mop. You will need to rinse a couple times, but it doesn’t just push the gunk around.
You can feel confident knowing that you’re lifting and trapping the tiniest particles, pollutants, chemicals, dust and bacteria versus moving them around or using any harmful chemicals!
Spray Mop Attachment – a Helpful Addition
If you want to take your mopping game to an even higher level, you should also get the Spray Mop Attachment. This accessory is most helpful for large floor surfaces – it speeds up the mopping time so much!
Seriously clean floors with no scrubbing on your hands and knees!
Conclusion:
I love my classic Wet Mop pad, but only for smooth floors, not tile or textured linoleum; on those floors, it just pushed the gunk around the floor. That is why I LOOOVE the Tile Mop. The scratchy squiggles do all the hard work for me; no more elbow grease! I love that it actually pulls all the gunk onto the mop head and off the floor. There are two sizes of the Tile Mop head to fit the Norwex Mop you own: Small mop and Large mop.
This is a 5-star product and one I would be sad not to have it!!
Let me know if you love yours, or if you don’t own one, ask the questions you have so that I can answer!
